Arrowhead strives for quality in all of our installations. Our installers have pride, and take the time to assure every job has adequate base and compaction. Over the last 28 years we have come to the conclusion that installing a permeable base using multiple grades of angular gravel is 100% essential and key to a quality installation with little to no repairs. This permeable base does not harbor water, which was always a problem in the past with settling due to weather and the frost and freeze that comes with it. Our depth of base is a min of 12 inches with the first 6 inches being a large angular 3 inch Limestone gravel commonly used on roadways and highways. Our compaction is approx.. 10,000 lbs per sq. ft. We look at the site, soil and conditions to determine what is needed to install the best quality for your specific installation. There are a number of benefits to the permeable base including:

• The bedding can (carefully) be walked on without creating substantial footprints
• It can be used for all product sizes
• It is ideal for raised patios and steps because the system eliminates washout
• It is more difficult for weeds to root and thrive in clear stone
• There is no room for insects to nest under the pavers
• The materials are workable in essentially any climate, as well as inclement weather
